Radio In 30 - 2017 Wrap Up

Don’t think your rants and raves about hidden gems undiscovered on SoundCloud and iTunes go unnoticed. We are always there, watching!

A platform has been brought to you by people immersed in the local underground music scene. A team has been assembled by innovator, a former YFM Academy Graduate Paps Bacela. He will help dig out and uncover the music, a different and fresh approach has been taken with the creation and set up of Radio in 30 to bridge the gap. Radio in 30 is not only about exposure - it is also about opinion, review and critic of up and coming artists and the mainstream music industry. An interactive radio station, lenient to suggestions and keen on giving the people what they want. That is what it has been created for, ‘mos’?

They are constantly on the search for music that has been gaining hype and has taken a liking from people, to showcase and draw attention to deserving and ‘slept on’ artists. Interviews with producers and artists is a focus at Radio in 30 - with the visuals being the flagship for the station - giving us ‘as viewers’ the artists’ perspectives regarding the industry they’re emerging into (or have been involved in), but also to gain a broader understanding of how it is done.

Interviews have been already conducted with D.ee XCLSV, Manu Worldstar, Tony X, Phresh Clique etc. The focus this year has been on rappers who have featured on Vuzu’s “The Hustle”, a TV show that has gained traction. Next year, we delve deeper into the unexplored, by sitting down with your SoundCloud artists drawing more attention to their craft and appreciating their fan base. Radio In 30 challenges the mentality that good music is only found on TV, iTunes and needn’t be mainstream influenced in terms of sound or style.

Not only is the attraction to the ever-growing and booming hip hop genre, but also to the alternative R&B and Rap, let’s venture on the less explored paths. With added emphasis on producer appreciation - all too often the behind the boards figure is not given credit where it is due - and this station is here to correct that. Monthly playlists of artists interviewed will be compiled by ‘yours truly’, with producers also as a focus as well as other random songs I like. We are all about inclusivity, so no matter what phone you have (Apple still wins) the playlist will be made available on Radio In 30’s iTunes Profile and SoundCloud page, for your use and pleasure - please share them!

[endif]--The station is different, new and accommodates upcoming artists better. Only with your support and help will it become widely known and appreciated like the artists we consider, for you! We too are a hidden gem but not for too long. ![endif]--
